Who can be covered?

Designed for permanent staff members, our product seamlessly integrates into your company’s benefit offerings. While the focus is on permanent employees, the inclusion of contract workers is possible. Please note that this product does not accommodate voluntary participation.

Show how much their contribution matters with a Group Life Policy. This expansive policy encompasses a funeral cover that compensates their loved ones once they’re gone, a disability benefit that provides an income should they become disabled, life cover, and so much more!

Additional benefits

Hollard Life Namibia provides comprehensive insurance.

Our death cover automatically continues for members who become disabled and receive a disability income. This dual benefit ensures added peace of mind for your employees, allowing them to feel continually protected.

Optional extras

As valuable and hardworking as your staff may be, there may come a day when they either choose to move on to other opportunities or retire. When they do, our Group Life benefit allows them to convert their policy to an individual policy with minimal medicals as an optional extra.

Requirements & restrictions

Provided they’re still employed by you, your employees can enjoy coverage up to the age of 70 in the case of death and funeral cover or 65 years in the case of disability and critical illness.

Our policy allows indefinite travel in Namibia and within the SADC region, with worldwide cover extending for three months in any six-month period.

Note that should employees require cover beyond three months they will need approval.


There are only a few instances where Hollard will not be able to honour the claim. These will be supplied to you in detail in the policy document. However, a summary of the exclusions is as follows:

  • All benefits: Any active participation in wars, riots, criminal or warlike activities, etc.
  • On Disability and Critical Illness specifically: Non-Disclosure (dishonesty) only if requested to declare, pre-existing conditions in the first year of cover, where the condition existed in the 6 months prior to cover inception and where the insured’s own actions cause a claim.
